PRIVACY POLICY

Short version: we collect almost nothing, we do not sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

What we collect

We collect the minimum needed to run a website. That means anonymous usage statistics such as pages viewed and rough region, the email address you give us if you subscribe to the newsletter, and any information you choose to send when you contact us.

We do not ask for payment details, we do not run invasive tracking across other sites, and we do not build advertising profiles of individual readers.

How we use it

Usage data tells us which stories are useful so we can improve them. Your email is used only to send the newsletter you asked for, and every message includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

We use a small number of trusted processors, such as an email delivery provider and a hosting provider, who may handle data on our behalf under contract. We never sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, request a copy, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it entirely. Email Contact us and we will respond within one business day.

If you are in a region with specific privacy law such as the GDPR or CCPA, you have additional rights including objection and portability, and we honour those requests in the same way.

Sources, corrections and related pages

Chauncey Apuzzi holds itself to the same standards across every page. Our About Us page explains how we report and write, and our Contact Us page is the fastest way to send a correction or ask a question. Where a claim depends on official figures we point to the source, such as public budget documents, court records or official statistics, so you can verify the numbers yourself. We review every page against primary records and update it when facts or rules change. If something here is unclear, out of date or simply wrong, tell us and we will fix it, because a policy that no one can act on helps no one.
