Introduction

When I was a kid, I used to dream of growing up to be a scientist. This was back when scientists were the most revered people in our culture. We’d watch them on TV, amazed as they solved important problems and cured diseases. But even then, I also knew that I would have to grow up and go into business. In fact, my dad was a businessman who owned his own company. He always told me that if he’d had his way he would have become an entrepreneur instead of working for someone else’s business like Ford Motors or General Motors (sorry Dad!). So why did I choose the path less traveled? Well…it’s complicated, but it boils down to this: businesses need innovation more than ever before because the rate of change is accelerating rapidly due to technology advancements such as Artificial Intelligence (AI). If you don’t adapt quickly enough…you’re going under!

The Math Behind Why Innovation Needs to Become A Company’s DNA: Part 1

The rate of innovation is increasing.

Innovation has been a part of the human experience since the beginning of time. In fact, innovation is often considered to be one of the cornerstones of humanity; without it we wouldn’t have discovered fire or electricity or even writing!

But what exactly does “innovation” mean? And why does it matter so much now? Well, let’s start with what we know: Innovation is increasing at a faster rate than ever before. In fact, according to research from PwC and The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), there are now more than 3 billion people using mobile phones around the world–that means that nearly half of us own one!

The world is changing, and if you aren’t leading your company in the right direction, you’ll be left behind.

The pace of change is accelerating, and if you’re not leading your company in the right direction, you’ll be left behind.

The world is moving towards sustainability at a rapid pace. If you aren’t leading your company in this direction and helping it innovate, then someone else will take over as leader–and they may not have your best interests at heart. You need innovation now more than ever before!

Changing your culture to one that embraces innovation is not easy.

Changing your company’s culture to one that embraces innovation is not easy. It requires time, effort and commitment from the top down. You need to change not only your structure but also how people think about their jobs, their colleagues and themselves.

The first step in changing a culture is identifying what parts of it need changing in order for innovation to succeed within your organization. If you’re already at this point then congratulations! You’ve taken one big step towards success by realizing that there are issues with how things are currently being done in your workplace (and if there aren’t any issues yet then consider yourself lucky). The next step is figuring out exactly how those issues can be resolved through some sort of intervention such as creating new positions within departments where they don’t exist now; restructuring teams so they function more efficiently; or creating policies around hiring practices so employees know what’s expected when bringing new ideas forward into discussions with management teams etc..

If you want to build an innovative company, innovation needs to become ingrained in the DNA of your organization.

The first step toward building an innovative company is understanding that innovation needs to become ingrained in the DNA of your organization. This means it needs to be part of the company culture, something everyone does and not just a few people. It is not a short term strategy; this is about changing how you do things on an ongoing basis so that you can stay ahead of competitors and deliver value for customers.

In order for this change to occur, there must be strong leadership from above–you need someone who understands what innovation is all about, who has seen its power firsthand (and maybe even lived through some failures), but also understands how difficult it can be for organizations like yours or mine when trying something new for the first time.

It’s time to evolve as a leader and establish an environment where innovation thrives.

As a leader, you have a responsibility to your team, your company and your customers. You need to ensure that the work they do aligns with the vision you’ve established for them and creates value for everyone involved.

In order to do this effectively, you need to be able to communicate your vision clearly while inspiring people around you by showing them how they can contribute towards making it happen–and then supporting their efforts as they take on new challenges.

Conclusion

Innovation is not a fad, it’s a necessity. If you want your company to thrive in this ever-changing world, then it’s time to embrace innovation as its core value.
